Privacy Policy

This policy describes what happens to personal information in connection with avalonbase.online. It is written to match what this site actually does, which is very little.

1. Who is responsible for your information

The website avalonbase.online, published under the name Avalon Base, is operated by:

Entity
MP DOBRA s.r.o.
Registered address

MP DOBRA s.r.o. is the entity that decides how and why any personal information described below is handled. Where this policy refers to obligations towards readers in Australia, it applies the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as its standard.

2. What is collected

Three things exist, and nothing else.

2.1 Nothing is collected through the site itself

There are no forms, no input fields, no newsletter sign-up, no accounts, no quizzes and no chat widget anywhere on avalonbase.online. The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tags, loads no third-party scripts, and writes nothing to localStorage, sessionStorage or any other browser storage. Because there is nothing to consent to, there is no consent banner. This is explained further in the cookie policy.

2.2 Server logs kept by the hosting provider

Like any website, pages are delivered by a web server, and that server records ordinary technical log entries for each request. A log entry contains the IP address the request came from, the user agent string sent by the browser, the URL requested, the response status and a timestamp. An IP address can be personal information in some circumstances, which is why it is described here.

2.3 Anything you put in an email

If you write to info@avalonbase.online, the message reaches MP DOBRA s.r.o. with whatever you chose to include: your email address, your name if you sign it, and the content of what you wrote. Nothing further is requested, and sensitive information should not be sent.

3. Why each category is handled, and on what basis

Purpose and basis for each category of information
CategoryPurposeBasis
Server logsKeeping the site available, diagnosing faults, and identifying abuse such as automated attacksThe legitimate interests of MP DOBRA s.r.o. in operating a secure and functioning website. No consent basis is relied on, because no cookies or tracking technologies are used.
Email correspondenceReading and answering the message you sentYour decision to make contact, and the legitimate interest in responding to it

No personal information is used for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making or any form of behavioural targeting. Affiliate commission is attributed by the vendor's own programme after you leave this site, using the destination address in the link; no tracking of you is performed by Avalon Base.

4. How long information is kept

5. Who information is disclosed to, including outside Australia

Personal information is not sold, rented or traded, and it is not shared with any vendor, advertiser or data broker. Two disclosures exist:

No fonts, scripts, images or other resources are loaded from third-party hosts, so no other party receives your IP address as a result of visiting this site. No analytics provider, advertising network or social platform receives anything.

Cross-border disclosure (Australian Privacy Principle 8). MP DOBRA s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, and its hosting and email providers operate servers outside Australia, principally within the European Union. If you are in Australia, handling your personal information therefore involves disclosure to recipients located overseas. MP DOBRA s.r.o. takes reasonable steps to ensure those recipients handle the information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including by using providers bound by the European Union's data protection framework and by contractual terms restricting use to the purposes above.

6. How information is protected

The site is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and the server is encrypted. Access to server logs and to the email account is limited to the people at MP DOBRA s.r.o. who need it to operate the site, and is protected by individual accounts with multi-factor authentication. Because the site collects nothing else, there is no database of readers to lose: the strongest protection applied here is that the information does not exist.

7. Your rights, and how to use them

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask for access to the personal information MP DOBRA s.r.o. holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected if it is wrong. In practice this will usually mean email correspondence, since no other reader information is retained beyond short-term server logs.

  1. Write to the publisher first

Send your request to info@avalonbase.online, describing what you want. A response will be sent within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request.

  2. If you are not satisfied, complain to the regulator

You may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which handles privacy complaints about entities covered by the Privacy Act. The OAIC explains the process on its own site, and normally expects you to have raised the matter with the organisation first.

8. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose information is affected, MP DOBRA s.r.o. will notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as soon as practicable, in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and will say what happened and what to do about it.

9. Children

This site is written for adults making purchasing decisions and is not directed at children. Nothing is knowingly collected from anyone under 16, and since the site has no forms, no accounts and no cookies, there is no mechanism through which a child could submit information to it.

10. European and United Kingdom readers

MP DOBRA s.r.o. is established in the European Union, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to its handling of personal information, and the equivalent United Kingdom regime applies to readers there. The lawful basis relied on for server logs and correspondence is legitimate interests, as set out in section 3; consent is not relied on, because the site uses no cookies or similar technologies. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in respect of information handled on that basis, exercisable by writing to the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, which for the publisher is the Office for Personal Data Protection in the Czech Republic, or with the authority in your own country of residence.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date at the top, and the previous version ceases to apply from that date. A change that would introduce cookies, analytics or any form of data collection through the site will not take effect before this policy and the cookie policy are updated to describe it, together with any consent mechanism that would be required. Continuing to read the site after a change indicates nothing about consent; there is nothing here to consent to.
